FYD Bowling Fundraiser
On June 12th, FYD Tampa Bay Pop Warner hosted its 2nd Annual Bowling - League Wide Fundraiser at the AMF Bowling Alley in Bradenton, FL. In effort to keep dues and fees down for its neighborhood Associations, FYD holds at least one major fundraiser each year. In years past, FYD held a golf tournament each spring, but the heat or the rain or the lack of interested golfers prompted the league to switch to a bowling fundraiser.
Unlike the golf tournament, bowling is great fun for the whole family. Our more than 30 teams were composed of coaches, board members, football players, and cheerleaders. All of whom had a blast! Prizes were given to the top family teams and the top adult teams.
In the family division, 1st place was won by the South Tampa Titans, and 2nd place went to the Hardee Wildcats. In the adult division, 1st place went to the Palmetto Trojans and the St. Pete Silver Raiders took 2nd.Our President’s Cup went to Manatee Mustangs for the second year in a row. Individual awards were handed out for highest game and highest series for both adult and kids divisions.
Bottom line, The FYD Bowling Fundraiser was incredible; and compared to golf – well it did not really compare. Bowling is a lot more fun for the whole family.
